What if you are experiencing unexplained pain somewhere in your body?
What if that discomfort is not just physical—but emotional?
Our bodies often carry what we cannot express in words. Emotions like fear, anger, shame, or even joy don’t just live in our minds—they can be felt in different parts of the body—sometimes as tension, heaviness, or even pain.
Listening to Your Body
Take a moment to slow down and connect with yourself. Your body might be trying to tell you something important.
A simple art practice
1. Close your eyes and gently scan your body.
2. Notice where you feel the strongest sensation or discomfort.
3. Ask yourself: What emotion could this be?
Use this list of basic emotions: pleasure, joy, pain, wonder, disgust, anger, contempt, shame, interest, fear.
4. Give that emotion a color.
5. Draw or paint it freely on a simple body outline prepared on paper—without worrying about perfection.
6. Imagine where other emotions live in your body. Give each of them a color and add them to your body outline.
Now you have a visual map of your emotions—something you can explore, reflect on, or work through with a professional.
